Founder's Note
Papelle started during a time when I needed something slow, steady, and brings my spark back.
Late at night when everything was quiet and I could not fall asleep, I found myself sketching ideas, testing materials, and trying to create pieces that felt calming and familiar. Those evenings became my space to breathe, and eventually, they became a starting point of this brand.
From the beginning, I knew that the paper had to be exceptional. Each journal I make uses premium Japanese Woodree paper, chosen for its smooth, buttery surface that pairs beautifully with gel pens and can support light fountain pen inks. It’s the kind of paper that makes writing feel effortless—clean strokes, less drag, and a surface so inviting that you actually slow down.

Papelle’s vision is rooted in bringing people back to the art of handwriting and the value of slower, more meaningful moments. In a world that moves too quick, I believe there’s something grounding about taking the time to write things down—lists, ideas, plans, reflections, or even the small details of everyday life.

At its core, Papelle exists to make journaling feel approachable and enjoyable again.
Not a trend, not a performance—just a quiet, reliable space to think, create, and reconnect with yourself through the pages you fill.

Every journal, dashboard, and insert I make follows the same pace — slow, deliberate, and rooted in deep appreciation for the artistry behind designing functional pieces made to be lived in and returned to each day.
Most of the concepts begin at night, when the world grows gentle and ideas feel unhurried. In those still hours, sketches are made, templates are tested, and objects begin to take form. It's quiet work, often solitary, but the kind that asks to be felt before it's made.

This is my work. Born in the stillness of the night, shaped with intention by the day. Thank you for being here, for supporting small, slow-made work, and for letting Papelle be part of your daily routine.
